October 10, 2008 Southport architect Mark P. Finlay is featured in a new book titled "Roots of Home" written by renowned architect Russell Versaci. The hardcover book, published by Taunton Press, was released in stores this month.

Finlay's design of a new French Colonial plantation house in Spring Island, S.C. is featured on a 14 page spread. The book traces the development of traditional homes in America and highlights the work of ten prevalent architects, including Finlay.

"I am honored to be part of such an important book on American architecture," said Finlay, "and am thrilled to be among such an esteemed group of traditional architects.
