Mark P. Finlay Architects to Design Historic Renovation for Nantucket Yacht Club
August 15, 2009 - Mark P. Finlay Architects, AIA was recently chosen as the project architect for a complete renovation at Nantucket Yacht Club.
The project will include design of the master plan, renovations and additions to the clubhouse which was originally built in 1904. The new design will restore the building, improve the flow of the club and update it to serve the needs of a modern yacht club.
The renovation will be designed in the same vein as Sankaty Head Golf and Beach Club, also on Nantucket, which Finlay deisgned in the late 90's. The architect has also designed numerous private residences on the island.
Construction for the new yacht club is scheduled to begin in Fall 2010.
