Architect Mark Finlay's Design to Air on MTV Cribs
April 23, 2009 - A new residence designed by Southport, Conn. Architect, Mark P. Finlay of Mark P. Finlay Architects, AIA was recently chosen as the set of the hit television show MTV Cribs.
The MTV show which tours the homes of the hottest celebrities launched a special series called MTV Cribs Teen Edition. The new spin features ordinary teenagers giving tours of their extraordinary homes. The featured residence, which is located in Southport, Conn., is an 18,000 square foot shingle style home set on seven waterfront acres. Filmed in late March, the episode is scheduled to air on Monday, April 27th at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on MTV.
The Southport home was also chosen as the set of a Disney movie called Old Dogs. Directed by Walt Becker, the film features actors John Travolta, Robin Williams, Seth Green, Matt Dillon, Kelly Preston, Bernie Mac and Lori Laughlin. The movie, which was filmed at the residence in 2007, is scheduled to premier in November 2009.
