Briar's Creek Golf Club Opens the Doors to its New Clubhouse
April 4, 2008 - Briar's Creek Golf Club, a 300-member private gofl club in Johns Island, S.C., recently celebrated the grand opening of its new clubhouse. Southport, Conn. Architect, Mark P. Finlay, joined members and founders for the founder's dinner and ribbon cutting ceremony on the weekend of March 28th. Finlay designed the 16,500 square foot classic lowcountry Shingle Style clubhouse in conjunction with the award winning Rees Jones golf course. The architect also designed the lodge cottages and five golf related outbuildings for the club.
Since its grand opening in 2001, the golf club at Briar's Creek was named number 11 of the 25 Best Courses You Can Live On by Golf Magazine Living, Best New Private Course of 2002 by Golf Digest and recognized in Golf Magazine and Golf Digest in their Top 100 Courses list.
